Fantasy Landscape Final

fantasy-landscape-final

For this final version of a fantasy landscape, we were to find a word unknown to us that would relate to our work. The word I decided to go with was Phytanthrope, a word used by those who identify as plants. To go with this word, I tried to create a natural landscape on a girl’s skin, grafting plants and moss to her skin and dying her skin into a more green color, and changing her hair into water. This image is meant to represent the feeling of being a plant, or connected to nature. While working on it I kept the idea of “Mother Nature”, a women connected to and made of plants, in my head. Another thought of mine was nature overtaking humanity.
